{"id":583,"date":"2010-02-08T13:59:00","date_gmt":"2010-02-08T13:59:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2020-10-13T20:38:02","modified_gmt":"2020-10-13T20:38:02","slug":"monday-thoughts-30","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/dragonoftheblackpool.com\/index.php\/2010\/02\/08\/monday-thoughts-30\/","title":{"rendered":"Monday Thoughts"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li>Stayed the night at <span id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_0\" class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">WinStar<\/span> (or should I say <span id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_1\" class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">LoseStar<\/span>) again. Nothing new to report, my luck still stinks.<\/li>\n<li>I think I should decide that I will not go gambling ANYWHERE where it takes me more than 10 minutes to reach the location. I think it will save me lots of money.<\/li>\n<li>I had a poker party for coworkers on Saturday. Its very <span id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_2\" class=\"blsp-spelling-corrected\">embarrassing<\/span> to have them drive through New <span id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_3\" class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">Fairview<\/span> to get to my house&#8230; Did I mention I live there?<\/li>\n<li>There was a strange sight Saturday at the 114 West turn off of 287. There was an accident but <span id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_4\" class=\"blsp-spelling-corrected\">apparently<\/span> it involved a couple of large <span id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_5\" class=\"blsp-spelling-corrected\">vehicles<\/span> so by the time I got there they were  sanding the muddy road  to get traction for the mega-tow truck and they had a big dumpster with people picking up all sorts of trash on the road. I&#8217;m sure there&#8217;s an interesting story there.<\/li>\n<li>Anyway I was heading to Giant Burger when I saw that mess. They were VERY nice there. I am guessing they are &#8216;economy-proofing&#8217; themselves by pleasing customers.<\/li>\n<li>They have always been nice, they were just EXTRA nice this time.<\/li>\n<li>Their burgers are Giant, just like it says.<\/li>\n<li>Watched bits of the Superbowl while strolling the casino, not too interested.<\/li>\n<li>I did notice that the <span id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_6\" class=\"blsp-spelling-corrected\">stadium<\/span> they were in was very bland. I can&#8217;t wait to see what happens when it is in Arlington next year. I&#8217;m sure Jerry will pull out ALL the stops.<\/li>\n<li>Everyone was going on and on about how <span id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_7\" class=\"blsp-spelling-corrected\">Louisiana<\/span> needed this because of Katrina <span id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_8\" class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">BLA<\/span> <span id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_9\" class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">BLA<\/span> <span id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_10\" class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">BLA<\/span>. So, you are telling me this win will mean all those abandoned, run down neighborhoods are going to get fixed <span id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_11\" class=\"blsp-spelling-corrected\">because<\/span> some grown men threw a ball around?<\/li>\n<li>Hype.<\/li>\n<li>I just think winning a Superbowl = good news for <span id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_12\" class=\"blsp-spelling-corrected\">memorabilia<\/span> sellers in the area + good news for local economies where the game is held (for about 2 weeks). <span id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_13\" class=\"blsp-spelling-corrected\">That&#8217;s<\/span> ALL.<\/li>\n<li>Hype.<\/li>\n<li>Can you tell I&#8217;m not into sports. I am in a VERY SMALL minority but I am sticking to my guns. I think professional sports is a waste of time.<\/li>\n<li>I think college sports is a <span id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_14\" class=\"blsp-spelling-corrected\">tragedy<\/span>. If they spent the money on <span id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_15\" class=\"blsp-spelling-corrected\">academics<\/span> how many cures could they have found by now? How many decent presidents would there be?<\/li>\n<li>Yes yes I realize sports brings money into a college, but still, they focus on it too much. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Stayed the night at WinStar (or should I say LoseStar) again.
